CAT5 patch lead cables are now available in a full range of colours.  These cables are excellent for matching cables to your décor, making it easy to identify particular workstations in a patch panel or just plain old good fun.

Technical Tip for Cat5 Patch Leads

It has become increasingly apparent since we have been implementing 10/100 Ethernet Switches that some CAT5 patch leads have been wired incorrectly.  Usually this manifests as cables that will work fine on 10 Mbps but don't work at all, or have very high error rates (equals very slow performance) on 100 Mbps.
