Netgear's DM602 ADSL Modem delivers
flexibility and speed at a highly competitive price.
It gives you two kinds of connections, Ethernet and a Plug and Play USB
port, so you can enjoy the benefits of either one.
Operating at
up to 8 Mbps of network speed -- over 100 times the rate of a normal analog
modem -- for high bandwidth applications such as corporate network access,
Internet access, music downloads, gaming, and video delivery.
And this versatile, smoothly engineered modem lets you talk on the phone
while you're online. A cinch to handle, it's compact to save space and looks
great in any environment.

Usage Notes
-
In modem mode, the DM602 is compatible
with BigPond ADSL and most other Australian ADSL ISP's. It is a
direct replacement for the Alcatel Speedtouch Home and similar modems,
but offers both Ethernet and USB in a single unit.
-
In router mode, the DM602 will do the
network login, provide basic NAT firewall security, and connection
sharing for a single PC or (using an attached hub or switch) for a small
network of PC's. When used as a router, the DM602 is a low-cost
solution for the user with basic web and email requirements.
-
In router mode, the
DM602 provides basic NAT firewall security only. Use the DM602 in
modem mode in conjunction with an SPI Firewall Router such as the
FR114P, FM114P or FVS318 for stronger firewall protection.
-
The DM602 in router
mode only supports DMZ, not individual port forwarding. Use a
DG814 instead, or use the DM602 in modem mode in conjunction with
another router such as the FR114P, FM114P or FVS318 if you require
individual port forwarding.
-
The DM602 in router
mode does not support UPnP. Use the DM602 in modem mode in
conjunction with a UPnP Router such as the FR114P, FM114P or FVS318 if
you require UPnP.
